Full Table Drills

Next, we graduate to the Full Table Drills. We have tested running through a deck 1, 2, or 3 cards at a time. We need to test the ability to scan an entire table of cards at once. Back at the main drills screen, click on Full Table Drills.

We see a new setup screen. Select the Running Count drill. The other drills are for more complex strategies. These tests are much like the Counting Drills except that, according to the options set, a table full of initial hands is displayed. You are tested on your ability to count the entire table.

There is no deal speed on these tests, but a flash speed has been added. This controls how long you are able to see the cards. Everyone has some degree of visual memory. That is, you will continue to see an image in your mind after it has disappeared, or you have closed your eyes. When you have practiced long enough, you will find that you can continue counting cards in your mind after you no longer see them. This provides the ability to scan a table very quickly.
