Playing Strategy - Modify Tables
The Modify Tables screen provides for the modification of from 6 to 32 tables. Shortcuts for specifying complex strategies will be described later. The tables are generated depending on the Affecting Options TYPE screen. Select Double Exposure in the upper left to indicate a Double Exposure or Hole-Carding strategy or Early Surrender to indicate ES tables.
Full Table Buttons
The six types of tables are listed on the left of the screen. These are the typical tables found in valid Blackjack strategies. If there are no Affecting Options, you will see one column of red buttons. Each of these buttons represents a table that must be generated. If the second column of buttons appears, then you should specify separate tables for Single and Multiple deck play. Note: if the "Columns 1, 3 & 5 indicate 1 or 2 decks" option is selected, then the first column is used for single and double deck and the second column is used for shoe games. If third and/or fourth columns appear, you should specify these additional tables for Dealer hits soft 17 rules.
Note: these first four columns of tables are complete tables. That is, one column of tables will be loaded depending on the options selected. Each of these tables is modified by clicking on the appropriate button. You will enter a table modification screen described later. When you return to this screen, the button representing the modified table will turn green.
Copy Table Buttons
To speed specification of multiple columns of tables, a copy table function is provided. Below the second, third and fourth columns (if they appear) are blue buttons. Pressing the blue button below the second column will cause the entire set of tables in the first column to be copied into the tables in the second column. The third blue column button copies the first column to the third column. The fourth column button copies the second column to the fourth column (not the first column).
After copying the tables, the buttons representing the tables that have been copied to turn yellow to indicate that they have been loaded. Normally, you will modify all of the tables in the first column (turning each button green), then copy the first column to the second column (turning its buttons yellow), then modify each second column table, turning the yellow buttons green. Normally, there will be few modifications to the second, third and fourth columns. Note: if you do not need to modify a table, you do not need to turn the button green.
Modification Table Buttons
The Double Down after Split and No Hole Card tables are not full tables. These tables specify modifications to be applied to the previously discussed tables if DD after Split or No Hole Card options are in use. These tables usually contain very few entries. Note: DD after Split buttons only exist in the Split Tables row. Only one column of No Hole Card tables exists for both single and multi-deck.
