CVShuffle Drills Operation
When you hit Launch, the drill will begin. You will see the following:
Distractions
Ø Stopwatch - The stopwatch will show the expired time
Ø Strip Chart - Your accuracy and speed are plotted here as you play. This is designed primarily as a distraction. The Charts are far more useable.
Stats
Ø Rounds - This field displays the number of tests that have taken place in this drill.
Ø Seconds - In Automatic and Count Up Timer Modes, this field shows the total time used thus far in the drill. In Count Down Timer Mode, this field starts at the Alarm Time and counts down. The alarm sounds when the number reaches zero and the count continues into negative numbers.
Ø Accuracy - Shows the percentage of correct test answers.
Ø Speed - This shows the average time per test.
Buttons
Ø Start - Start a new drill.
Ø Pause - Pressing this button will stop the timer. Press CONTINUE to continue.
Ø Stop - This button will cancel the drill.
Ø Exit - EXIT returns to the options screen.
Operation
Ø Cut Practice - In this drill, a stack of cards is displayed according to the options. A number of cards or segments is also displayed. You must cut the cards using the mouse according to the displayed number. Once you click, the correct spot is displayed as a red line. A yellow area is also displayed around the red line according to the Accuracy setting. The number of cards plus or minus that you are off will be displayed. It will be in green if exactly correct, yellow if in the accuracy window or red if not. If red, an error is registered.
Ø Other Player Cut - In this drill, an already cut stack of cards is displayed according to the options. You must enter the number of cards that have been cut. Type the number and hit Enter. The number of cards plus or minus that you are off will be displayed. It will be in green if exactly correct, yellow if in the accuracy window or red if not. If red, an error is registered. If No Animation is not set, the stack separation will be animated to make it clearer how the cut is performed.
Ø Nicknames - For each test, a card will be displayed. Enter the nickname for this card and hit Enter. You can edit the nicknames by clicking on Nicknames on the CVShuffle Drills Setup screen.
