Blackjack Betting Strategies (True Edge)
True Edge is a method of betting created by Arnold Snyder in Blackbelt in Blackjack. This method requires a separate calculation of betting and attempts to estimate the optimal bet. This method is not as accurate as using a custom calculated optimal betting table. The following fields are required:
Parameters
Ø Pivot Edge - This is your edge at the pivot point. The pivot is zero in a balanced strategy.
Ø Edge per Count - 0.5 would indicate a .5% estimated increase in edge per count.
Ø Bet per Percent Edge - This is the dollar amount bet per percentage of advantage.
Ø Divisor - Typically 2 for 2 times the number of decks.
Ø Division Precision - When you divide, what precision in the results?
Ø Allowable Bets - You can’t bet $13.74. Input a table of valid bets and the closest bet to the calculation will be used.
