Moving the mouse over the Tray button on the control bar during the game will display the number of cards in the tray. It will also show the running counts in each segment.

Ace Sequencing

Ace sequencing is the art of tracking aces through the shuffle and is related to shuffle tracking. I am not covering ace sequencing in this book. You can find some information in:

However, I will mention areas of ace tracking practice while I am on the subject of practice.

When sequencing, you need to memorize key cards. This is usually aided with card mnemonics. For example “kiss” means king of Spades. The CVshuffle drills will test you on your memory of your mnemonics.

For a tough test, you can direct Casino Vérité Blackjack to remove the numbers and/or pip graphics on all cards and place the mnemonics on the cards. This will force you to play the game with just card mnemonics. Or, the mnemonics can be placed on the cards along with the graphics so you will get used to the mnemonics over time.

You can direct Casino Vérité Blackjack to mark cards as aces that you wish to follow and key cards. During play, these cards will be dealt with these marks.

The most important aspect is that CVShuffle will use the shuffle that you specify and aces and key cards will appear as they would in a casino.
