Shuffle Tracking

Shuffle Tracking PracticeI try to add a practice section to as many relevant chapters as I can since I strongly believe in the value of practice. If you have reached this far in the book, you are used to these sections. So, instead of detailing ST practice, I will simply list some of the practice features found in CVShuffle. CVShuffle is an add-in to Casino Vérité Blackjack that adds features relevant to shuffle tracking and ace Sequencing.
The CVShuffle tracking drills test you on your ability to cut or determine an exact number of cards. Stacks of cards will be presented in one of three orientations and you will respond by clicking at the desired spot in the stack. You can also be drilled on other players’ cuts. They will cut and you must determine where the cut took place. The Discard Tray drills should also be used. During the game, you will be presented with the cards to be cut. You can specify, if you wish, the location of the Play Zone, the IRC and the pseudo-decks. If you do, the true count will be calculated according to these variables and your betting and play will be tested against this count. During the play, you can also display a linear view of the discard tray with segment lines. The size of the segments is set on the CUT screen by clicking on Examine. This will get you used to estimating the cards in the tray. Click on Cards on the main screen control bar to turn on and configure these options.
