Hole-Card Play

Intermittent Hole-Card Information — Card CountingIn the previous chart, Basic Strategy was used when the hole card was not seen. Let us try again with card counting. The below chart is the same as the previous, except that the Hi-Lo strategy is used with a 1–15 spread. Of course the increased bets also affect gains when the hole card is seen. Obviously anytime that you could see the hole card a significant percentage of the time, you would not spread your bets as it would not make sense to risk being barred.

· Six decks, S17, DAS, 1 players, Hi-Lo, full deck resolution,Ill18, and optimal hole-card strategy, 4.8/6 Penetration · Three hole-card viewing conditions · One billion rounds each Hole-Card IndexesAnd now for something completely different. The next two pages are probably of little use. But I decided to include tables for hole-card play using indexes. These tables are for single-deck, H17, DAS using Hi-Lo. The flat-betting gain in advantage is 0.6% on top of the Basic Strategy hole-card advantage. Note: I know of no one who uses indexes for hole-card play. They have been added for completeness.
