Blackjack - Print Versions

Second Edition — Revenge of the
Salamanders
The second edition has an additional 120 pages for a total of 660. (686
the way publishers count pages☺.) The color version has 706 pages. I have not placed it online as
it took a month to put up the first version and a week for someone to
steal it and claim he wrote it. However, there are print versions available
at the end of this page. I intend to keep the first edition on the web.
Print versions are in black and white except for the newer full color verions. Text has been added to ease the
reading of black and white charts and web addresses of the charts are
supplied below each chart in the book to find large, full color versions
should you want more detail. Additions to the second edition include:
Volume I
- A new chapter titled Truly Unbalanced discusses various forms of true-counting
unbalanced strategies. Complete and compromise versions are included.
Tables for true-counting the KO, UBZ-II and UstonSS strategies are included
as well as a brief look at strategies like those found in Daniel Dravot's
new book The Color of Blackjack.
Volume II
- A new chapter on next-carding (seeing the next card before it is dealt)
has been added with comprehensive strategy tables including some that
have never been in print. The costs of next-carding misidentification
is discussed. For example, did you know that if you know the next card
is a five or seven, but not which, it is better to assume that it is
a seven?
- The partial hole-carding charts in the chapter on hole-carding have
been replaced with new charts that display more information in the same
space. The cost of hole-carding misidentification is discussed. For
example, did you know that, unlike next-carding, if you think the hole
card is a five or seven, it is better to assume that it is a five? Hole-carding
surrender tables have also been added.
- Spanish 21 strategy tables have been added for the FELT Count, Spanish
21 hole-carding and partial hole-carding. I believe these have never
been in print.
- A five-page section on shuffle-tracking using the REKO strategy, written
by "Rainman," has been added. This is for experts.
- A new chapter named Sim Secrets has been added discussing the history
and construction of Blackjack simulators. The section on construction
will only be of interest to programmers. The section on history will
only be of interest to Blackjack fanatics.
Both Volumes
I've reviewed the entire text adding clarifications where I thought needed,
replaced charts that could be improved and added some new tables, charts
and text.
