Modern
Blackjack
800 Pages of Data
|

Chapter Plus Nineteen To obtain information about the inner workings of Blackjack, we simulate billions of hands. I have placed the output of simulations of REKO, FELT and Hi-Lo on the web. These are partial outputs of CVData 20-billion-round simulations and contain a great deal of information not supplied elsewhere in this book. At first I thought of including the data here. Then I realized there are 800 pages of data. Much as it would be nice to have the thickest book on Blackjack, I decided instead to point to the data online and include only an explanation of the data in this chapter. The sims can be found at: · www.qfit.com/Book/REKOData.htm · www.qfit.com/Book/FELTData.htm · www.qfit.com/Book/HILOData.htm Descriptions All sims were run with six decks, S17, DAS, Late surrender and a spread of 1-15 with no cover. The unit size is $5; so bets range from $5 to $75. The playing speed is 100 rounds per hour. Hi-Lo uses the Sweet 16 and Fab 4 indexes. REKO and FELT use the compromise indexes in the early chapters of this book. The data are organized in tables each of which I will describe here. Configuration/Rules Simply some of the parameters under which the simulation was run.
