Casino Vérité Blackjack supports some hole-card play features described here.

First, we need to tell the software that we wish to view the hole card. From the main menu, select Options then Settings, then click on the Advanced tab. We are interested in the first two of the Peek options. Select either Peek at dealer card if you want to see the hole card for any upcard, or Peek when dealer peeks, to see the hole card only when the dealer has an ace or ten. On the Play Variations tab, you must also set when the dealer peeks. To the right of the selected option, you will see a spinner that can be set from 0 to 100. This is the percentage of the time that you will be allowed to see the card.

Now we must set the strategy. From the menu, select Strategies then Playing Strategies Complex. You will see buttons labeled HC High and HC Low. You can set two different hole-card strategies; one used when the dealer has a low card (2–6) and one when the dealer has a high card. Or you can set them to the same strategy. You will find a sample strategy in the Norm Wattenberger or QFIT folder. You must also set a normal strategy by clicking on Attach a Strategy to be used when you do not see the hole card.

During play of the game, the hole card will be flashed. If it is not, your play will be tested against the normal strategy. If it is, you will be tested against the select hole-card strategy. Errors will be flagged and logged.
