How Blackjack Works

How does card eating affect others? OK, let's try to turn this around. If someone takes the good cards it hurts us. So let us get somebody to take the bad cards instead. Here we have two players at the table. But one is our partner. The partner bets the table minimum, but plays two hands at true counts of zero and below and one hand at positive counts. The partner eats bad cards while betting the minimum. This chart summarizes results from the previous several pages and this page. First, the top of the red area displays the win rates by true count for a normal Hi-Lo player. The top of the green area are the win rates when a back-counter interferes. So, the red area shows the resulting loss. The green area shows the further loss by a multi-hand player interfering with our play. But the cyan area shows the gain from using a partner to eat bad cards. In reality, few people attempt to use techniques like this as it takes the time of two players and can look suspicious when the same two players are often seen playing together.
